AESCULUS 30

A great remedy for blind piles, but it is also useful in bleeding piles. Piles painful, burning, itching, purplish. Piles do not bleed much or none at all, yet are very painful.

Patient feels as if there are small sticks in anus.

Piles painful when touched, when walking, standing or sitting.

Severe and constant dull backache affecting sacrum and hips.

Constipation is mostly present.

NUX VOMICA

1. V. is one of the principal remedies for blind and bleeding piles.

The most important characteristic of this remedy is frequent, ineffectual desire to pass stools, but passes a small quantities only. The person never feels satisfied, feels as if little stool were left behind in the rectum. This symptom is pure gold.

Itching, blind hemorrhoids; bleeding, better cold water.

ALOE 6, 30

This is also a most useful hemorrhoidal remedy.

It is indicated where the piles protrude like a bunch of grapes, bleeding often and profusely and greatly relieved by the application of cold water.

Violent itching and burning in anus.

There is tendency to diarrhea.

Emission of flatus before stool.

COLLINSONIA 3, 6, 30

It is useful in chronic piles.

Piles with obstinate constipation (Aloe – tendency to diarrhea).

Bleeding incessant, though not profuse.

Great itching and burning in the anus, with certain amount of prolapses.

Sensation of sticks in the rectum.

There may be alternate constipation and diarrhea.

Stools mostly only in the evening (opp. of Nux Vom.).

Piles, especially in latter months of pregnancy.

HAMAMELIS 3, 6

Piles, bleeding profusely.

Bluish color of hemorrhoids (piles)

Backache, as if back would break.

Anus feels sore and raw.

Weight and burning in the rectum.

Blood is profuse, dark, grumous. Hemorrhoids protrude and feeling of rawness in anus.

MURIATIC ACID 3, 6, 30

Hemorrhoid looks swollen and blue and are intensely sensitive to touch.

The sensitiveness is so excessive that the patient dreads contact of bed sheet. He cannot make use of the softest toilet paper.

There is amelioration from application of warm water and aggravation by bathing the parts with cold water (opposite of Ars.). Prolapses of hemorrhoids while urinating. Piles appear suddenly in children. Piles during pregnancy.

Hemorrhoids in the aged people.

ARSENIC ALBUM 30

Blind or bleeding piles, which burns like fire, especially at midnight, better by hot application.

Burning in rectum after stool.

Stitching and burning pain when walking or sitting, but not at stool.

CAPSICUM 6, 30

Bleeding piles with burning pain, itching, smarting and stinging in anus during stool.

NITRIC ACID 30

Piles are very annoying.

Piles come out with every stool.

Discharge of foetid, watery substance from the anus, which keeps it constantly moist.

Splinter like pain in piles.

IGNATIA 30

Blind piles. Painful while standing and sitting, but better while walking. Sharp stitches shoot up the rectum, worse for hours after stool.

Piles protrude when the stool is soft, but not during hard stool.

Piles prolapse with every stool, have to be replaced.

APIS 30

Piles with sharp stinging pains.

Pain better washing with cold water (opp. of Ars.)

DIOSCOREA 6, 30

Piles, like grapes, around the anus, not bleeding.

Involuntary discharge of slimy mucus from the anus.

Darting pain in hemorrhoids extending to the liver.

KALI CARB. 30

Piles painful, burning like fire, better from cold bathing or sitting in cold water.

Piles protrude after stool and burn like fire.

Piles extremely sensitive to touch.
