BORAX 6, 30

Borax is the first remedy that comes to mind in mouth affections.

Mouth is very hot and dry.

Aphthae on tongue, in mouth, inside of cheeks.

Ulcers bleed easily on touch.

Offensive breath.

Red blisters on tongue.

Child cries when nursing.

Child starts up in a fright.

The mother will notice the hot mouth of the child when nursing.

When these two symptoms (hot mouth and child cries when nursing) are present Borax is the remedy.

MERCURIUS SOLUBILIS 6, 30

In Merc. Sol. there is profuse salivation which is soapy and stringy. Water dribbles from the child’s mouth.

Painful ulcers on tongue, gums, palate.

The odor of the mouth is very offensive and pervades the room. The saliva is offensive.

The tongue is moist, yet there is intense thirst.

The gums are white, spongy and swollen.

The glands about the neck are swollen.

Ulceration in the mouth, extremely foul breath, swollen, flabby tongue and intense thirst if these symptoms are present, the remedy is Merc. SoL.

BAPTISIA 6, 30

Bapt. is the remedy where the mouth, especially tongue is ulcerated.

Blood oozes from the gums, which is dark and offensive.

The tongue is cracked and mouth is very offensive. The more offensive the breath the more it is indicated.

NUX VOMICA 30

Nux Vomica is useful when stomatitis is of gastric origin.

Painful swelling of the gums.

Foetid ulcers. Painful blisters in the mouth, on the gums, palate and tongue.

Tongue white and thickly coated with mucus.

Foetid odor from the mouth.

Constipation with frequent unsuccessful desire for stool, passing small quantities of stool with feeling as if a part remained behind.

BRYONIA 30

It is useful in stomatitis, when the mouth is so dry that the child refuses to nurse until his mouth has been moistened by the milk.

Aphthae on tip of tongue.

Tongue coated yellowish dark brown.

ALUMEN 6, 30

Gums swollen and inflamed, spongy, covered with a dirty grey coating.

Ulcers in the mouth.

Profuse offensive saliva.

ARSENIC ALBUM 30

Ulceration of mouth, dryness and burning heat.

Tongue dry, clean an red.

Edges of tongue are red, ulcerated.

Aphthae with violent burning pains.

Ulcers and blisters turn livid and black.

Swollen and readily bleeding gums.

Restlessness and great exhaustion.

CANTHARIS 30

Burning in mouth, pharynx and throat.

Burning or smarting vesicles in the mouth.

Tongue covered with vesicles.

Great dryness of the mouth.

Gums spongy and suppurated.

Foul, frothy saliva, streaked with blood.

Constant desire to urinate, passing only a few drops at a time.

CAPSICUM 6, 30

This remedy is suitable to fatty persons, who easily get exhausted, indolent.

Stomatitis. Burning vesicles in the mouth and on the tongue.

Gums, hot and spongy.

Burning, smarting at the tip of tongue. Saliva increased.

Tongue greenish at base.

MURIATIC ACID 6, 30

Deep blues ulcers

Painful, burning ulcers on tongue.

Deep ulcers on tongue with black base and everted edges.

Bad smell from mouth.

Tongue dark red, covered with greyish-white membrane.

NATRUM MUR. 6, 12, 30

Ulcers and blisters are in mouth, on the tongue and gums.

Gums spongy and bleeds easily.

Tongue mapped, red, insular patches.

Loss of taste.

Tongue feels dry but is not dry.

NITRIC ACID 6, 30

Yellow ulcers. Ulcers on inner sides of the cheeks.

Blisters on and around the lips.

Gums swollen, white, bleeding.

Gums soft and spongy.

Foetid smell from the mouth.

Pricking pains in the mouth, as from splinters.

Painful pimples on the sides of the tongue.

Tongue clean, red and wet with center furrow.

Ulcers on soft palate with sharp splinter-like pains.

Sour taste in the mouth.

Acrid saliva.

SULPHURICUM ACIDUM 6, 30

Aphthae. Swollen, ulcerated and bleeding gums.

Profuse saliva.

Sour-mouth of infants and mothers.

The child smells sour, despite most careful washing.

Great debility. Patient constantly complains of trembling, which however is not observed by others.

STAPHYSAGRIA 6, 30

Swollen, spongy, gums, bleed easily.

Mouth and tongues, are ulcerated.

Covered with blisters.

Sores look bluish or yellow.

Saliva, which is at times bloody.

Blisters under the tongue.
