Homeopathy Medicine for Hiatus Hernia

276

A hiatal hernia occurs when the upper part of our stomach protrudes through the large muscle separating our abdomen and chest (diaphragm), which is why the condition is also known as a hiatus hernia.

In a hiatal hernia, the stomach pushes up through the diaphragm’s tiny opening (hiatus), where the esophagus normally passes before joining with the stomach.

Self-care measures or medications can typically relieve these symptoms, but a large hiatal hernia can cause problems by allowing food and acid to back up into the esophagus, resulting in heartburn.

SYMPTOMS OF HIATUS HERNIA

Although smaller hiatal hernias typically have no symptoms, larger ones can:

  • Heartburn
  • Food or liquids being thrown back into the mouth
  • Acid reflux is a condition in which stomach acid enters the esophagus.
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Chest or abdominal pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • gastrointestinal bleeding that may be indicated by blood in the vomit or black stools passing

CAUSES OF HIATUS HERNIA

It is not always known why this occurs, but a hiatal hernia may be brought on by:

  • Age-related changes in diaphragm
  • Injury to the area, such as following trauma or particular procedures during surgery
  • Having an incredibly long hiatus at birth

pressure that is applied repeatedly and vigorously to the surrounding muscles, such as when exercising, lifting heavy objects, coughing, vomiting, or straining to go to the bathroom.
