The herbomineral Ayurvedic medicine Shankh Vati/Bati contains Shankha bhasma and is backed by modern scientific research and technologies.

Turbinella pyrum, a species of very large sea snail, produces the shell known as the “shankh” or “conch shell,” which is useful for treating digestive system issues. Shankh Vati is one of the best treatments for issues with the digestive system, including gulma, colic, indigestion, abdominal pain, gas, etc. It is also helpful for relieving heaviness and discomfort that can come from overeating or eating large meals.

Ingredients

• Making tamarind juice, or imli kshaar.
• Five salts, or Panch Lavan
• Citrus juice/neembo ras

• Hingu
• Churn Trikatu
• Shudh Parad (purified)
• UDDH GANDHAK
• Swaras Jambeer

Dosage

Prior to or after eating, or as prescribed by an ayurvedic physician, 250–500 mg once or twice daily.

Precautions

• Herbal mercury that has been purified is a component.
• Children, nursing mothers, and expectant mothers should all avoid it.
• An excessive dose may have poisonous effects or cause a mild burning sensation in the stomach.
• Given that salt is an ingredient in this medication, people with high blood pressure should use caution when taking it.
