Amenorrhea & Oligomenorrhea
Raja Pravartini Vati, which works best when taken with Kumaryasava for the best results, induces menstruation and encourages menstrual flow thanks to its potent emmenagogue ingredients like Kasis and Asafetida, which are also helpful in oligomenorrhea.
Raja Pravartini Vati should be administered to patients with amenorrhea in the dosage of 500 mg twice daily until they begin to menstruate. Once the patient begins to menstruate normally, Raja Pravartini Vati should be stopped for 10 days, restarted, and continued for at least 3 to 6 months.
Dysmenorrhea
Raja Pravartini Vati has anti-spasmodic action and emmenagogue properties, so it promotes menstruation and relieves the pain. However, it should only be administered when the patient has no Pitta conditions associated with the condition; instead, it should be administered when Vata and Kapha Dosha are the primary causes.
Sutshekhar Ras with Praval Pishti is more effective for treating dysmenorrhea if the patient has Pitta symptoms like burning sensations with increased menstrual flow or heavy bleeding, as well as other Pitta conditions.
