Chest Pain (Pleurodynia)

ACONITE 200

Pleurodynia (pain between the ribs) from exposure to cold, exposure to draft of cold air while perspiring (suppressed perspiration).

It is indicated when the attack comes suddenly (within 3-4 hours) after exposure to cold air.

Stitching pains through the chest, worse inspiring.

Great restlessness anxiety and fear of death.

It should be given every 30 minutes.

BRYONIA 200

Chest pain from exposure to cold.

Stitches in chest, worse inspiration.

Sharp stitches in chest or at right scapulae, worse deep breathing and coughing.

Pain worse from slightest motion and better by absolute rest, lying on painful Side or pressing chest with hand.

Many symptoms of Aco. and Bryo. are similar but in Bryo.

Patient is not as restless as in Aconite.

KALI CARB. 30

Violent stitching pains in chest, running through lower part of right chest to back.

Pain worse from motion, respiration (Bryo.), worse lying on right side or can lie only on right side.

RANUNCULUS BULBOSUS 6, 30

Chest pain caused by exposure to cold and change of weather or wet weather.

Sharp sticking pains, particularly in lower right ribs, extending even to shoulder or at times above left nipple.

Pain worse from touch and motion.

Cannot move the arm or body.

Stitches in chest. Worse stooping, inspiration or touch and pressure.

Stitches in chest and between shoulder blades. Worse inspiring, moving. Cannot bear pressure (touch) even of shirts on painful side.

CIMICIFUGA 6, 30

Sharp pain in between the ribs.

Pain in right side of chest. Worse from motion.

Must lie quietly on back and press with hands.

ARNICA 30, 200

Chest pain from over exertion.

The chest feels bruised.

The pain is increased by motion, pressure.

GUAIACUM 6

Sharp pain in upper part of the chest, from motion of head, deep breathing.

BORAX 6, 30

Stitches in chest during inspiration and coughing.

Pain in upper part of right chest.

Sticking pain between ribs, worse on coughing, inspiration, yawning or any physical exertion.

Pain in chest, better lying on back, washing with cold water or pressure.

Pain in left side of chest.

Worse inspiration and lying on painful side.

SPIGELIA 6, 30

Stitches in chest, especially left side.

Worse least motion or when breathing.

Cutting, tearing pains in the left side, below the nipple, extending to scapula and arm. Worse inspiration.

Sharp, cutting stitches in left side of chest. Worse on stooping.

OXALIC ACID 6, 30

Stitches from chest into scapulae.

CHELIDONIUM 6, 30

Pain in right side of chest and shoulder.

Stitches in chest, worse right side. Worse inspiration, motion and coughing.

Pain in the lower right ribs. Worse bending towards the left side.

Pain behind the sternum. Worse inspiration.

SQUILLA MARITIMA 6, 30

Sharp sticking pain in the ribs, especially of the left side on breathing and particularly on coughing.

RHUS TOX. 12, 30, 200

Pain in chest. Worse using arms.

Chest pain shoot into shoulders.

Stitches in chest (and sides of chest) when at rest. Worse sneezing and breathing.
