Kidney Stones (Renal Calculi) and Colic

Berb. has been used with miraculous success in removal of kidney-stones.

Pain in the left kidney, extends to testes, thigh, bladder, hips.

Frequent urging to urinate with reddish urine.

Cutting pain in left kidney, extending down to ureter and bladder, even extends to testes in men and to ovaries in women.

Urine thick, turbid, yellow, red, mealy, sandy or slimy sediment.

Cutting and burning pain in the urethra during and after urinating (Canth.).

Berb. also useful in the colic in right kidney with the same symptoms.

To dissolve or to prevent formation of stones; it should be given twice a day.

During colic it should be given every 15 – 20 minutes.

During renal colic Cal. Carb. should be given every 15-20 minutes.

Urine offensive, sour smelling with white sediment.

Urination is most frequent at night. Pain in kidney due to stones.

Lyco. is also a very important remedy for expulsion of stone and renal colic.

The most important symptom of Lyco. is red sand in clear urine. Clear urine depositing a heavy red crystallized sediment in the vessel.

Very severe pain in small of back every time before urination.

Must wait for urine to start.

The pain in back ceases when the urine flows.

Sharp pain in kidneys, especially left kidney, extending to ureters. Pain in kidneys, extending to bladder, hip, perineum, testes.

During Colic Lyco. should be given every 15 – 20 minutes for 3 -4 times.

Renal pain. Pain from right kidney downward.

Severe pain at the close of urination.

Frequent urging to urinate.

White sand in urine or small calculi.

Canth. is one of the best remedies during the paroxysms of renal colic.

Pain lancinating, cutting, stabbing like knives.

Renal colic. Cutting and contractive pains from ureters downward down to penis.

Violent burning, cutting pains in the neck of bladder, extending to urethra.

Constant desire to urinate.

Burning and cutting pain before, during and after urination.

Urine scalds the patient and it passes drop by drop.

It passed drop by drop.

The most important symptom of this remedy is constant desire to urinate, but it is not evacuated easily.

Kidney pain goes down the thighs, toes and soles of feet.

During renal colic 5 drops in lukewarm water should be given every 30 minutes for 1 – 2 hours.
