HOMEOPATHY FOR SINUSITIS
The term “sinusitis” refers to an infection or inflammation of the sinuses, which are air-filled cavities within the bones of the face and are situated in the cheeks, maxillary, forehead, and around the eyes, ethmoidal.
Causes
Infected sinuses produce yellow or green mucus, and some people develop sinusitis with most colds, hay fever, allergies, or other irritants to the linings of the sinuses.
Symptoms
Sinusitis frequently manifests as:
· Blocked nose
Pressure sensation inside the nose
Pain in the face, especially when bending forward
· Headache
Upper jaw teeth are in pain.
Nasal mucus of the colors yellow or green
· Swelling of the face
Taste and odor impairment
· Persistent cough
· Generally feeling unwell
Risk factors
One is more vulnerable to developing sinusitis as a result of a few factors, such as:
Repeated colds, particularly in young children
Active or passive smoking of cigarettes
Using nasal decongestant sprays on a consistent basis for longer than two to three days
Untreated allergies, including hay fever
A deviation in the nasal septum and structural issues with the nose
Sinus and/or nasal lining swelling, nasal polyps
Dental conditions like an unattended tooth abscess
Complications
Although they are uncommon, severe sinusitis complications can include
·Vision problems.The spread of a sinus infection to the eye socket can result in permanent blindness or vision loss that is less than full.
·Infections.Rarely, those who have chronic sinusitis can also get an infection in the bones, a severe skin infection, or inflammation of the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord (meningitis).

HYDRASTIS CANADENSIS:Coryza is characterized by watery, excoriating, burning, smarting, and rawness. Post-nasal dripping. Hawking of thick, yellow secretion from the posterior sinuses. Ozaena, with bloody and purulent discharge. Sinus headache. Dull, pressing pain in the forehead on the affected side. Pain in the scalp and neck muscles.
KALI BICHROMICUM:Loss of smell, nasal discharges that are thick, ropy, greenish, yellow, and acrid, large clinkers, difficulty breathing through the nose, tough, elastic plugs that are left on the raw surface, post-nasal dripping of thick mucus, much hawking, ulcerations of the nasal sepetum, aching and fullness in the glabella, headache in small spots, headache over the eyebrows that is preceded by blurred vision, aching
LYCOPODIUM CLAVATUM:Right-sided frontal headache with pain over the right eye that is worse when standing up and better when lying down are all symptoms of frontal sinusitis. Other symptoms include a stopped-up nose at night, a fan-like motion of the alae nasi, excoriating nasal discharge, and a craving for sweets.
MERCURIUS SOL:A catarrhal headache with a lot of heat in the head, raw, ulcerated nostrils, swollen nasal bones, yellow-green, fetid pus-like discharge with burning, profuse salivation, a fetid odor coming from the mouth, extreme thirst, and a moist tongue.
PULSATILLA NIGRICANS:Bland, green nasal discharge; coryza; better walking in open air; headache; heavy head; complaints of rich foods; complaints of fat; complaints of pork; complaints of pastries; complaints of desserts; complaints of ice cream; complete absence of thirst; patient is mild; yielding; timid; emotional; weeps easily; craves sympathy; changes in mood.
SILICEA:Nasal septum perforation. Nasal discharges form dry, hard crusts, bleeding occurs when loosened. Nose obstructed and loss of smell. Nasal bone sore. Chilly patients, very sensitive to cold air. Offensive sweat, especially on hands, feet, and axilla. Headache, especially right side. Worse from noise, jar, light, cold air, exertion, uncovering. Better from covering up warmly.
STICTA PULMONARIA:Symptoms include dull heavy pressure in the forehead and the root of the nose, fullness at the base of the nose, nasal obstruction with inflamed sinuses, painful dryness of the nasal mucous membranes, constant need to blow one’s nose but no discharge, catarrhal headache before discharge appears, and worsening with sudden temperature changes, at night, while lying down, and alleviating with open air and free discharge.
