Homeopathy Medicine for Shingles Or Herpes Zoster

A middle aged person gives a history of pain, tingling and dysaethesia along the course of nerve with appearance of the characteristic eruption (vesicles, papules, bullons lesions) throughout the dermatome. This condition is SHINGLES or HERPES ZOSTER.

The virus that causes chickenpox and herpes zoster, vericella zoster, is what causes this condition, which is picked up by the dorsal root ganglia of a few cranial nerves from an earlier infection.

The varicella-zoster virus, which causes both of these ailments, is the same.

Shingles is a painful rash that typically only affects one side of the body, while chickenpox causes itchy blisters that may begin on the back, chest, and face before spreading to the rest of the body.

Within 7 to 10 days, the blisters usually dry out and crust over after developing into red, fluid-filled blisters.

Shingles Symptoms

Shingles can be detected early if:

  • Fever, chills, and headache
  • Itching
  • Your skin has raised spots on it, and the area is red.
  • Stabbing or shooting pain
  • Skin tingling or discomfort
  • Upset stomach

Postherpetic neuralgia is the term for pain that occasionally persists after a rash has subsided.

Causes

Chickenpox is the first issue the varicella zoster virus brings on when it enters the body.

The virus moves into the nerve tissues close to the spinal cord and brain after chickenpox has finished its course and remains there.

The virus can occasionally “wake up” and strike again with shingles, also known as herpes zoster, which manifests as a spread of the virus along nerve fibers to your skin.

Risk Factors

You’re more susceptible to developing shingles after having chickenpox if you:

  • Are 50 or older
  • are experiencing extreme stress
  • Have an illness that lowers your body’s defenses, such as cancer, HIV, or another
  • possess a history of severe physical harm
  • Use of long-term steroids or other immune-depressant medications

Homoeopathic Treatment

The illness exhibits three distinct sets of symptoms: vesicles, which are the actual eruptions, followed by pustules that don’t cause intense itching, and burning or premonitory pain.

A clean, soft cloth should be used to slide over the skin instead of using nails or any other pointed objects to scratch the skin because the entire condition is highly contagious.

Ranunculus bulbosus-Herpes with vesicular and pustular eruptions. Bluish vesicles that burn and itch terribly, making them worse on contact or touch. Pains that stitch, shoot, extort tears, and cause shuddering. Patient is restless and unable to stay in one position. Burning in small spots from a sedentary lifestyle.

Rhus toxicodendron-Herpetic eruptions are associated with chest pain and dysentery, severe burning pains along the dermatome that correspond to the herpes zoster pathogenesis, and neuralgic pains.

Tarantula cubensisshingles causes excruciating burning and stinging pains, purple discoloration of lesions, and is also helpful in carbuncles. although the incubation is slow, the condition progresses rapidly with alarming proportion.

Arsenicum albumBurning pains are a defining feature of arsenicum album and are alleviated by warm application. Skin is dry, rough, and scaly, and has eruptions that resemble parchment and have vesicles that burn fiercely.
